McGruff's
Safety Tips for Kids & Parents
|
|
Be Safe on the Streets
|
- PARENTS
- Develop a secret password that only
your family knows. Tell your kids that they should
NEVER go with anyone unless they know the secret password.
Make sure to tell you kids that they should NEVER
share this secret password with anyone.
|
|
Be Safe on the Internet
|
- KIDS - Don't
talk to strangers!
- PARENTS - Keep
your computer in a busy area of the house so kids
can be supervised while online.
- PARENTS - Consider
using a filter, blocking or ratings system on your
computer.
- PARENTS & KIDS
- Visit iKeepSafe.org
to Meet McGruff's friend Faux Paw, the Internet Safety
Cat.
|
|
Be Safe on Your Bike
|
- KIDS - Wear
bright clothing. Bright and light colored clothing
makes you more visible. If you ride your bike after
dark, be sure reflectors on your bike, helmet and
clothing.
- KIDS - Ride
with a friend. It is more fun and safer because help
is there if needed.
